As you all know I've been on a Work/Vacation here in Italy for the past 3 weeks. Now my vacation is almost over and I will be back home in less than a week :( During these 3 weeks I've been very busy photographing some aspects of this country that not too many people know about, and I will make sure I will post some of those photographs for you to see. Besides the whole ugly truth about my home town, my wife and I had a lot of fun with my family and my old friends, I also let her drive my old car in one of the craziest cities in the world ahhahaha. Now I have to go photograph my sister at my friend' studio, and I promise you I will make sure to post a good part of my vacation's pics as soon as I get back to California. Thank you very much Riccardo Suriano www.norcalphotostudio.com

I had so much fun photographing this amazing young couple :D Josh and Katie have been my friends since I moved here from Italy. Josh is now leaving for 5 years of medical training in the army and they decided to have some nice pictures taken, and of course they went for the best, JK :P So I took them at the Ceago Winery in Nice, right down the street from my house, where we found the perfect atmosphere for this photo-shoot. It was a very nice day and my wife, I, Josh and Katie had a great time all together. I hope you guys enjoy these 4 pictures followed by this slide show I made for this beautiful couple of friends :D
Hi guys, I'm back! I've been busy with a surgery and recovery time, but now I'm finally back. In this post I'd love to share with you another passion of mine besides photography, original soundtracks composition. I've always loved movie soundtracks and I think I started buying motion pictures soundtracks cds around the age of 10. I also used to be a musician back in Italy, playing the bass guitar for various bands. Since I moved to the US I've been wanting to compose and play some music, but never found the physical time for it. Until 1 year ago when while watching the movie 28 Weeks Later, with the amazing soundtrack written by John Murphy, I decided to start recording some tracks of my own using softwares like Reason 4 and Cakewalk. So I started thinking about all the movies that I love the most, and how I would be able share the emotions that they gave me, with others through sound. And there I was, every time I could, I would just get myself in front of the computer and start writing down ideas and trying to create new sounds. It was amazing how things would start working very fast, how sounds would just fit perfectly with my emotions and how happy and proud I would feel track after track. My first album " Negative Infinity " was finally born. Today I would love to share my first album with you :D Riccardo Suriano presents: Negative Infinity by Riccardo Suriano Please leave me some comments, I would love your opinion, it will help me with my future works :) Thank you very much Riccardo Suriano
This is a Commercial Shot for "The Shop" a beauty salon in Ukiah, CA. I only used one strobe with softbox coming from the center right trying to give a full view of the owner's face and to create a little shadow right behind her. I loved the colors of the wall creating a soft warm ambient light.
